And after the illustration for the second tribute to Eric Woolfson, the artist Jill Singletary has sent us another illustration this time devoted to the song ANGEL OF THE ODD, that is the first passage of the album “Eric Woolfson’s Poe – More Tales Of Mystery And Imagination“, gone out in the second halves the 2003.

01 ANGEL OF THE ODD (The angel Of the Eccentric one)
The passage of opening is instrumental, an intro for the passage n. 02.
Jill took the title from a history that Eric in the notes of cover of the CD it defines <<among the wittiest of Poe>>.
It is an epithet created by Poe for one of his own characters that Eric perhaps decided to use for same Poe: The angel Of the Eccentric one.
In the story Edgar (or better the narrator without name) is tormented from this anxious ‘Angel of the Eccentric one’, but on the other hand also Edgar could represent an anxious Angel of the Eccentric one for some of the people that knew him.The Edgar of the Musical is for the note a man that would be and he would want to be pure and shiny while life brings him to live in a world of situations and anxious characters.
The author Jill Singletary gives us here one personnel of his tribute to this instrumental passage, of which we publish a miniature extracted by the illustration.

01 ANGEL OF THE ODD (L’ANGELO DEL BIZZARRO)
Il brano d’apertura è strumentale, una intro per il brano n. 02.
Prende il titolo da una storia che Eric nelle note di copertina del CD definisce << tra le più argute di Poe >>.
È un epiteto creato da Poe per uno dei propri personaggi che forse Eric decide di usare per Poe stesso: l’Angelo Del Bizzarro.
Nel racconto Edgar (o meglio il narratore senza nome) è tormentato da questo inquietante ‘Angelo del Bizzarro’, ma d’altra parte anche Edgar poteva rappresentare un inquietante Angelo del Bizzarro per alcune delle persone che lo conoscevano.L’Edgar del Musical è per l’appunto un uomo che sarebbe e vorrebbe rimanere puro e lucido mentre la vita lo porta a vivere in un mondo di situazioni e personaggi inquietanti.
L’autrice Jill Singletary ci regala qui un suo personale tributo a questo brano strumentale, di cui pubblichiamo sopra una miniatura estratta dalla sua illustrazione.
