Sono passati 8 anni dal 13 luglio 2009, dal giorno in cui il mio (e nostro) amico Carlo Scaringi scrisse il suo primo Comics tribute per Fumettomania.
Comics tribute è stato un nuovo spazio di critica importante, all’interno del vecchio sito, con 52 articoli inediti quasi tutti scritti proprio da Carlo (che non è più tra noi da qualche anno), dedicati mensilmente ad una storia a fumetti, ad un libro, ad un autore, di cui si ricordava quel mese l’anniversario, la ricorrenza et simili.

Viva Kirby, Viva il Re!
L’associazione culturale Fumettomania Factory, in concomitanza con l’anniversario dei cento anni dalla nascita di Jack Kirby, il più grande disegnatore di fumetti di tutti i tempi, vuole realizzare uno Speciale Comics Tribute con articoli ed illustrazioni dedicati a Jack Kirby, che pubblicheremo per tutto il mese di settembre sul nostro sito!
Invitiamo i nostri amici disegnatori e i collaboratori della web fanzine a partecipare, per ricordare l’indimenticabile Jack Kirby!
La consegna dei disegni e degli articoli è aperta dal 31 luglio al 15 settembre 2017.
La prima puntata dello speciale sarà pubblicata il 28 agosto!
Se riusciremo a raccogliere del materiale di buona qualità, a gennaio 2018 realizzeremo una mostra nell’hinterland messinese.
Informazioni necessarie per partecipare
L’ILLUSTRAZIONE deve essere dedicata ad uno dei tanti personaggi a fumetti inventati da Kirby, nella sua lunghissima carriera, volendo si può anche omaggiare una sua copertina.
Tecnica libera, formato libero, cartaceo o digitale.
Se qualcuno vuole cimentarsi con un TESTO CRITICO su Jack Kirby, o su un suo personaggio, la lunghezza dell’articolo deve essere uguale a quella dei vecchi comics tribute, scritti da Scaringi, cioè 600 parole (3600 caratteri, spazi compresi).

Hurrah Kirby, hurrah the King!
Have passed 8 years from the 13th of July in 2009, from the day when my (and our) friend Carlo Scarigni wrote his first comics tribute for Fumettomania.
Comics tribute was a new important space for critics, inside the old site, with 52 inedited articles mostly written by Carlo(who isn’t with us from some years) monthly dedicated to a comic story, to a book, to an author, whose resorted the anniversary, the birth or similar.
The cultural company Fumettomania factory, in concomitance with the centenary of the birth of Jack Kirby, the greatest comic artist of all time, wants to realize a special comic tribute with articles and illustrations dedicated to Jack Kirby, that we’re gonna publish for all the month of September in our site.
We invite our friends and colleagues to enjoy, to remember the unforgettable Jack Kirby.
If we can gather some good stuff, in January 2018 we’ll realize a show with panels and articles.
the deadline of the drawings and the articles is open from the 31st of july to the15st of september.
the first episode will be published on the 28th of August.
Necessary info to enjoy
The illustration must be dedicated to one of the numerous comics characters invented by Jack Kirby in his long career, if you want you can tribute a cover.
Free technique, free format, on paper or digital.
If someone want to write a critic text on Jack Kirby, or on one of his character, the lenght of the article must be the same of the old comic tribute article, written by Scaringi, so 600 words (3600 characters, spaces included)
